TinyOS Logo Contest

In conjunction with the
3rd International TinyOS Technology Exchange,
we are holding a public TinyOS Logo Contest. The winning logo will become the "official" TinyOS logo. Prize: Thanks to Arched Rock, Moteiv, and Crossbow, the winner will receive
a new mac Mini, a Moteiv Tmote Sky Developers Kit, and a $500 credit towards the purchase of any Crossbow product!

Dates:
- Logo submission: Jan 20 - Feb 1
- Finalist Selection via Online Poll: Feb 2 - Feb 8
- Winner Selection at the TTX: Feb 10
Logo submission: Beginning Jan 20, you can submit logo entries by email to <tinyos-logo at millennium.berkeley.edu> with the subject TINYOS LOGO SUBMISSION. Logo submission will end on Feb 1, 2006. See below for submission details.
Finalist selection: Finalists will be selected by the community using an Online Poll posted prominently on the tinyos.net home page. The Logo Poll will accept votes Feb 2,2006 - Feb 8,2006.
Winning logo selection: The winning logo will be selected from among the Finalists during the TinyOS Technology Exchange on Feb 10. Each person attending the TTX will receive a ballot on which to vote by mid-afternoon. Votes will be tallied and the winner will be announced at the TTX.
Prize: The winner will receive
- a new Mac mini donated by Arched Rock
- a Moteiv Tmote Sky Developers Kit (includes 10 motes; see moteiv.com for details)
- a $500 credit towards the purchase of any Crossbow product

Details:
- Entry to the competition is open to all
individuals (professional or non-professional designers welcome) but participation must be done in a private personal capacity.
- The logo must be the submitter's original work.
- The logo should be usable in monochrome and color media and may include an appropriate number of colors (2 or 3).
- The logo must not offend anyone's sex, race,
religion, morality, or culture.
- Each submission should include the information below and should be sent to <tinyos-logo at millennium dot berkeley dot edu>
- High resolution print-ready scalable vector format (portable EPS, SVG or AI)
- JPEG or PNG of a size appropriate to display online in the Online Poll
- Submitter's full name and email address
- You may submit as many logos as you'd like under the same name. Please send them as separate emails however. Names will not be associated with any of the logos until after the winner is announced.
- The TinyOS project will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the winning designer will disclaim any rights without limitation.
