With 1.1.11 out the door on Monday, I'm switching gears to packaging the new tools for TinyOS 1.2 / 2.0 (we're aiming to have the same toolset for both versions to ease version upgrades for everyone -- users and us). I'm about 1/2 done with the avr rpms.
The only botch on 1.1.11 so far is an "Informational" message box that I left in as a debug aid for the new postinstall functionality that looks alarmingly like an error to the user. So though the installation may go smoothly, a windows pops up and says, "Didn't find a postinstall script". The box is described in the instructions, but I'm gathering that no one, understandably!, reads the Wizard installation instructions. I have removed the silly box from future versions.
Actually, one other problem with 1.1.11: Joe mentioned that the 1.1.11 version of platform/msp430/HPLUSART0M.nc has a bug that causes telosa to not compile. The version that is checked in is fixed. For convenience, I put a copy online and posted a story about it.
The job posting page has 4 postings in the 8 days that it's been up. I think the 'Seeking Work' section might be unnecessary if we have enough Job Posting activity; those seeking work can contact the employers directly.
Speaking of the web site, Monday saw the introduction of an Events box and In the Media box on the front page.
